Ernest Earl Dupie

Conway....Ernest Earl Dupie, Jr., age 62, of Dongola Hwy., died Monday, December 29, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Dupie was born in Epslanlany, Michigan, the son of the late Ernest Earl Dupie, Sr. and Elise Todd Dupie. He was a US Navy Veteran where he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device. Mr. Dupie was Past Master of Conway Masonic Lodge 65 in 1992, a 32 degree Master Mason of the Scottish Rite. He received a Medal of Honor Fez from the Omar Shrine, member of Hillbilly Unit Clan #82, Outhouse # 2. He never shied away from an honest days work or a friend in need. He was true to himself and everyone around him. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Connie Larson Dupie of Conway; three sons, Terry L. Dupie and wife Sybil of Conway, William E. Dupie and wife Karen of Moyock, NC and Robert D. Dupie and wife Mary of Galivants Ferry, SC; six grandchildren, Coty, Mikayla, Janie, Gracie, Jonathan, and Tristin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with the Rev. James Arthur Hucks officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
