Phillip Tyrone McDaniel age 69, loving husband, father and poppa, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, September 15, 2015.
Born in Myrtle Beach, SC, he was a son of the late Leo and Ellen Sue McDaniel. Phillip was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired as an engineer from the Myrtle Beach Fire Department. He loved the Lord and his family. Phillip enjoyed fishing and cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Linda McDaniel of Myrtle Beach; children, David Lister (Michelle), Clay Hayden, Seth Hayden (Meghan), Ellen Caughman (Charles) and Bubba McDaniel; 8 grandchildren; a sister, Cheryl Vereen (Benny, III) and a special cousin and best friend, Johnny Butler.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, September 18, 2015 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the funeral home.
