Martha Page Daughtery Spann, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly April 22, 2018, at Waccamaw Hospital in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Page was born December 1, 1948, in Mullins, South Carolina, daughter of the late Grip and Helen Hayes Daughtery of Lake View, South Carolina. Page was a graduate of Lake View High School and Brevard College. She was a longtime resident of Murrells Inlet, a member of Trinity Church, The Dunes Golf and Beach Club and Wachesaw Plantation. Page enjoyed spending time on her porch overlooking the Inlet, taking afternoon boat cruises, and the mountains. She was a warm-hearted spirit who loved life, spending time with family and friends, especially her grandson who she adored. She was a wonderful cook, an avid golfer, (who had three hole-in-ones) and was a devout Clemson fan. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Samuel Robert Spann, Jr. of Murrells Inlet; her daughter: Catherine Spann Sabia (Michael) of Murrells Inlet, her son: Samuel Robert "Tripp" Spann, III of Murrells Inlet, her Grandson: Samuel Robert Spann, IV and step-grandson: Justin Salvatore Sabia. Her sisters: Charlene Daughtery Leonard(Tom), Patricia Daughtery Bates (Ted Chapman), and brother: Rick Daughtery(Linda) all of Murrells Inlet. Sister-n-laws: Lou Spann Smith (Lane) and Ginny Spann Merritt (Jimmy) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Brother-in-law, James McFadden Spann (Alice) of Murrells Inlet, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. A visitation will follow at the Belin Family Life Center.
